Veterinarians

Dr. Vicki Soares has had the desire to take care of animals since she was 6 years old.  Growing up on a farm exposed her to the life and death of animals causing her to develop an appreciation for the special bond between animals and people.  It has been her life goal to keep that bond strong.  Helping people learn how to take care of their pets, so they can live long healthy lives, is not only good medicine for the animals, but also helps the owners have healthier lives also.

Dr. Soares graduated from Michigan State University with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1994.

Courtney

I have been a member of the Woodsdale team since September of 2012. I have an interest in animal health and welfare across the board. I have had many experiences that have helped me gain knowledge in many different fields of animal health. I grew up on a beef cattle farm here in Person County. I traveled to South Africa in the summer of 2015 to study exotic animals through the Eco-life organization. I am currently a rising junior at NC State University majoring in Poultry Science and minoring in animal science. I have a Beagle who I adopted after falling in love with her during her recovery at Woodsdale in 2013. Outside of work and my studies, I enjoy spending summer days’ outdoors and on the lake!

Brittany joined our team in July after graduating from N.C. State with a degree in Animal Science.  She is from Roxboro and loves animals.  She currently shares her home with 7 cats.

Kennel Assistants

Tiffany joined our team because of her love of animals.  She has been with us for the past two years and enjoys keeping the pets happy and comfortable.  She is originally from Texas and now lives on a farm in Rougemont with her husband and young son as well as their goats, horses, cats, and dogs.

Michelle rejoined our practice after taking some time off (or as she likes to say, she is a "new old employee"). She works in the kennels and loves it. She has five dogs.  Michelle still remembers all the old fur babies and looks forward to meeting all the new ones. She has two grandchildren, Kody and Kaden.  Her hobbies include scrapbooking.
